Truecaller eyes N1bn users after surpassing 500m milestone
TRUECALLER has crossed 500 million users globally, reinforcing its position as one of the world’s most widely used platforms for trusted communication, as demand for protection against spam, scams, and unwanted calls continues to rise.
The company said the milestone reflects a growing global need for safer digital interactions, with the platform adding more than 50 million users in 2025 alone. While India remains its largest market, Truecaller now has over 150global million users outside the country, highlighting its expanding international footprint.
The platform has also strengthened its monetisation efforts, surpassing 4 million paying subscribers earlier this year, a key driver of recurring revenue growth.
Chief executive officer Truecaller, Rishit Jhunjhunwala, said the milestone goes beyond numbers, pointing instead to a broader shift in how people navigate communication risks.
“This milestone reflects the reality of today’s communication landscape, where people increasingly need protection from spam and scams,” he said. “Reaching 500 million users shows both the scale of the problem and the trust users place in Truecaller. Our focus remains on building smarter technology that protects users at every stage of communication.”

He added that the company is now targeting its next growth phase, with ambitions to reach 1 billion users globally.
With half a billion monthly users, Truecaller has evolved from a basic caller identification app into a broader digital utility platform. Its services now span caller verification, fraud detection, and secure messaging, positioning it as a key layer of trust in everyday mobile communication.
Despite its scale, the company maintains a relatively lean structure, with about 470 employees managing operations and product development globally.
Going forward, Truecaller said it will continue to disclose monthly and daily active user metrics in its quarterly financial reports.
