Distressed family seek help over missing son in Enugu

The Chime family are calling for the support of Nigerians over the sudden disappearance of their 33-year-old son, Mr Obinna Chime.

Obinna, who hails from Etiti Ngwo in Enugu State, left home on July 3, 2023, and has not returned since then.

The case was reported at Proda Police Station, Emene, Enugu State on July 4.

The Guardian reported that his mother, Ms Felicia Chime, lamented that since the case was reported at the police station, nothing concrete had been done, urging Nigerians to contact the family at the sight of Obinna.

“The police had assured me of finding my son, but nothing has come out of that. I am appealing to Nigerians to help me look for my son, who has done nothing wrong to anybody,” she said.

Chime, who was said to have left home with some mental problems, was declared missing in the evening of July 3. He is fair in complexion, 5.9-inch-tall, and speaks Igbo and English fluently.

His cousin, Mr Obisike Nwachukwu, said the family were devastated at the unfortunate incident, calling on Nigerians to help them find their son.

“As days go by, we feel more pains considering the fact that he had psychological disturbances prior to his disappearance,” he said.
