Ecobank to delay 2025 audited results filing, extends closed period
ECOBANK Transnational Incorporated (ETI) has informed the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), its shareholders, and the investing public that it will not meet the March 31, 2026 deadline for filing its audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2025.
In a notice signed by Group Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of ETI, Ayo Adepoju, the bank attributed the delay to the need for additional time to complete outstanding audit and reporting processes. It, however, assured stakeholders that it is working closely with relevant parties to finalise the accounts and expects to submit the results on or before April 30, 2026.

In line with Rule 17.18(a) of the NGX Listing Rules 2015 (as amended), Ecobank said on Tuesday that the previously announced closed period will remain in effect. The restriction will continue until 24 hours after the audited 2025 financial statements and the unaudited first-quarter 2026 results for the period ending March 31, 2026 are released on the NGX.
During the closed period, insiders of the group and its affiliates are prohibited from directly or indirectly trading in the company’s shares.
