Ex-BBNaija housemate Danboskid reveals plans to rebuild after financial struggles

FORMER Big Brother Naija housemate, Daniel Olatunji, popularly known as Danboskid, has opened up about the financial and personal difficulties he is currently facing, saying he is determined to rebuild his life and regain his independence.

The reality TV personality shared his experience in a video posted on Wednesday, revealing that he had returned to his family home as he considered different ways of getting back on his feet.

Danboskid said he was temporarily staying in his sister’s room while working on plans to generate income and revive his career.

He disclosed that he had even considered selling his laptop to raise money but decided against it because he needed the device to pursue his plans.

Rather than seek public sympathy, the former housemate said he was looking for guidance and support as he tried to navigate his current circumstances.

“I don’t really know what to say, but I know I have so many things in mind. And I know I don’t know what’s going on with me.

“But I know I have to change what’s going on. I know I have to start altering my own reality because I have to make things work regardless,” he said.

Danboskid explained that although his family was not struggling to meet basic needs, they were dealing with considerable mental and emotional pressure.

“As I said, we’re not suffering. My dad is a tenant. So yeah, we’re just suffering mentally,” he said.

The reality star outlined several plans he hopes will help him achieve financial stability, including filmmaking, acting, an accessories business and driving for Uber.

He said producing a movie and establishing himself as a successful actor were among his biggest ambitions.

“I have a script going on. I’m going to produce my movie. I’m going to become a movie producer and a world-class top actor.

“Yes, that’s it. So that’s the first one. That’s like the bigger picture. But how do we go about it? I honestly do not know,” he said.

Danboskid also revealed plans to launch an accessories brand, saying his knowledge of selecting accessories would help him build the business.

“I also want to start my accessory brand. Oh yeah, I know how to select good accessories.

“So yeah, you all know I’m going to put on my business page to patronise me because that’s how I want to kick-start myself,” he said.

As an immediate source of income, the former housemate said he was considering driving for Uber, including using vehicles owned by people who no longer wanted to drive them themselves.

He said his broader objective was to become financially independent, secure his own accommodation and provide support for his family.

“Get something done for myself. Start doing Uber. Start my accessory brand.

“Get a house for myself. Fix my family, and become a meaningful user. That’s the plan,” he said.

Danboskid also reflected on the challenges of living under public scrutiny, saying he wanted to move beyond the image created by his social media presence and prove himself through his work.

He was among the contestants who participated in the 2025 edition of BBNaija but became the first housemate to be evicted from the show.

His latest disclosure comes as he seeks to rebuild his career through entrepreneurship, entertainment and other income-generating ventures.
